Hi,

I'm new to these boards, and here's my situation.

Recently, my employer has been sending employees home (For lack of business, I work in a motorcycle shop) and most recently, he asked if I could work for 1 hour, punch out and then leave. Is there a minimum amount of hours that they have to pay me for per scheduled work day, and does the fact that I am a part-time employee affect any of this? I'd like your input on the matter, thanks.

    • Some answers are easier then others. Giving a pointer to an existing governmental fact sheet is one of the easy answers. It would be nice if all state governments had fact sheets for common questions.
